WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) -

G-E-T grad Tim Wagner is back home for winter break. He was at the Winona State men's basketball game to watch his former teammate, Riley Bambanek.

Wagner is a freshman walk-on at Nebraska. He's out for the season after breaking his ankle back in October.

He credits some of his success to having faced such good players in our area last year, and says he's having fun down in Lincoln.

"A lot more fun before I got hurt and I could play basketball, obviously. It's been good. Before I was hurt, getting in the gym in the morning and lifting and getting shots up and all that kind of stuff. Practice was good. I thought we practiced pretty hard and I've been watching practice and I think we're getting a lot better," Wagner said.

Wagner averaged 23.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in his senior season at G-E-T.
