Even though they've lost six of their last seven games, the Brewers winning record at this point in the season puts them in discussion to go far in the postseason. That means the All-Star Game matters.
The league that wins the game earns home field advantage for the World Series. Not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but the four Brewers in Minneapolis next week have something to play for.
"We're going there to win," said catcher Jonathan Lucroy, who will make his first All-Star appearance.
"We're not going there just to have fun and hang out. We're going there to actually win because this is something that obviously, with the kind of fans we have here, and the support we have here, it's something that we want to take advantage of.
"Hopefully, if we get to that point, this year in the playoffs, that we're able to play in front of our home fans. That's something that we're definitely going to take serious."
