After Milwaukee's extra inning loss at Cincinnati, the team placed slugger Ryan Braun on the 15-day disabled list with a lingering right hand injury.
Braun took batting practice before Friday's game, but was scratched from the lineup, his fourth straight missed game. This is his first career stint on the disabled list.
The move is retroactive to June 10, meaning Braun is eligible to be reinstated on June 25.
Outfielder Caleb Gindl will take Braun's spot on the roster.
