LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -

The final regular season tournament stop on the Bassmaster Elite Series schedule is right here in La Crosse beginning Thursday.

Not many have more on the line this weekend than rookie Adrian Avena. The "Jersey Boy" currently sits in 50th place in the points standings with the top-50 qualifying for next week's Angler of the Year Championship.

"I knew the tail-end of this season if I was in contention, I would have a good shot at qualifying for my first classic and here we are I'm in 50th place in points and I need a good event here in the Mississippi River to go to the AYO Championships."
