Antoine prepares for warmer temps at Olympics

KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia - With warm temperatures in the forecast, United States Olympic skeleton participant Matt Antoine spent Tuesday's practice making some adjustments.

"It's definitely playing a game with us in terms of how to set up our sleds," said Antoine, a Prairie du Chien native. "Today is probably close to what it's going to be on race day, so we know what we're trying to prepare for.

"This isn't the first time we've had warm temperatures this year. We have to rely upon notes from previous races and setups, but being on a different track also changes how you approach it. It's tough, but we're doing the best we can. Fortunately we had a couple days already in this weather and we have one more, so it's at least sufficient time to try to find something that works well."

The men's skeleton event will take place February 14 and February 15 at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
