Alec Brown will undergo surgery Thursday to repair his dislocated shoulder, a source told News 8.

Brown, who battled shoulder injuries while playing at UW-Green Bay, is expected to miss 3-4 months to rehab. He should, however, make a full recovery.

Brown suffered the injury in Friday's NBA Summer League game in Las Vegas. He met with team doctors Monday.

The Winona, Minn. native was drafted by the Phoenix Suns No. 50 overall. He tallied four blocks, seven rebounds and 11 points in four Summer League games.

The surgery comes at a tough time; Wednesday is his birthday.
