If the crowd makes a loud cheer at Packers training camp, there's a good chance Jared Abbrederis was just on the receiving end of a catch.
The former Badgers wideout is a natural fan favorite.
Abbrederis, a fifth round draft pick and Wisconsin native, says things are coming along through four practices.
"There's been a couple of hiccups but that's going to happen at camp so you just have to grind though it. Just play the next play and be ready to go. So it's been good, a good start picking up the offense. It feels like it's coming along so happy about it."
Abbrederis also started at the bottom of the depth chart in Madison. Does he feel this experience is similar?
"There are some similarities. I mean it's a little bit different, just being an NFL business. But you have to approach it the same way, just get to work. You can't really worry about numbers and things like that or where you fall in the depth chart. You just got to play and make them keep you on the field. So that's just kind of the way I've been going about it. Try not to think too much about who's going to be here, there. Just going out there playing and having fun."
Abbrederis said he's excited about Saturday night's Family Night practice. Over 40 family members are coming to watch him.
