The North Crawford volleyball team heads to State in hopes of doing something they've never done before: come home with a gold ball.
The Trojans face Clayton Friday morning in Green Bay in the WIAA Division 4 state semifinal game.
It's their first state appearance since 1996. The program's best run was a state runner-up finish in 1994.
There are three sets of sisters on the 2013 team. And as you could guess team chemistry came easy.'
"I think it's been good because they have played together for so long," said North Crawford head coach Anna Davidson. "I mean it's not just the sets of sisters, it's all of them combined. So it's a very strong connection between all of the sisters."
The Stevenson's are one of those sets of sisters.
"We are definitely hardest on our siblings afterwards," said senior Aubrey. "We want our siblings to do better so we are always pushing each other to be better as well."
"It would be spectacular if we got it because there's three of us and it's the only chance it'll ever happen," said freshman Sydney.
"Each game we keep getting better and better and I'm hoping that we climax by the end," said junior Bailey.
