Vikings part with WR Jenkins

The Minnesota Vikings released Michael Jenkins on Monday with the veteran wide receiver due a $2.4 million roster bonus later this month had he remained with the team, the Star-Tribune reported,
The 30-year-old Jenkins came to the Vikings from Atlanta before the 2011 season. In two years with Minnesota, Jenkins caught 78 passes for 915 yards and five touchdowns.
The move to let Jenkins go was expected. He took a pay cut before last season to remain on the roster. He finished 2012 with 40 receptions for 449 yards and two touchdowns.
