They don't have a mantra yet, but they have a common goal.
"Finish first," said forward Kelli Pierce, who led the MVC in scoring a year ago.
"To get a conference championship again," said defender Taylor Hancock.
"One, it's a great start, but it's something we want to build on," Head Coach Dale Jonson said.
Tomah won the MVC for the first time in its history in 2012. This year, they return seven starters, including everybody on defense.
"The four of us have played together, we're all seniors, and we've played together since we were like eight," Hancock said.
"We do have a really strong defense coming back from last year, so we want to make that the cornerstone of our team as we continue to find replacement players towards the front and midfield," Jonson said.
"It's going to be a long way till we get there but we're starting to come together more now that we're outside," Pierce said. "But I think we'll be pretty strong this year."
After all, that is the goal.
"And then a three-peat, four peat..." said Hancock.
Tomah opens the season Monday against West Salem.
