Bethune-Cookman (6-1, 3-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) rolled up 465 total yards and forced five turnovers while joining South Carolina State in a tie atop the standings. The Wildcats, ranked 14th in the FCS Coaches Poll, have won 14 straight meetings with Savannah State and 16 consecutive conference games.
Antonio Bostick threw a pair of touchdown passes in the fourth quarter for Savannah State (1-7, 0-4) but finished 17-of-36 for 202 yards with two interceptions and lost a fumble. The Tigers have dropped five straight.
Jackson hauled in a 16-yard touchdown pass and White found the end zone three times while Bethune-Cookman raced to a 28-0 lead. After Leon Prunty's 76-yard touchdown pass to Simon Heyward got Savannah State on the board, Jackson scored on a pair of 2-yard runs to make it 42-7 at the half.
Michael D. Jones tacked on a 27-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for Bethune-Cookman. Quarterback Quentin Williams was 10-for-14 for 143 yards and a touchdown and added 49 yards on five carries for the Wildcats.
