Oakfield tops De Soto at State

On a hot and humid day at Goodman Diamond in Madison, De Soto battled back from a 7-4 deficit, scoring three runs in the top of the seventh to send the game to extra innings. But in the bottom of the ninth, two errant throws to first allowed Oakfield to plate the game's winning run. The Oaks won 8-7 and will face Tigerton in the title game on Saturday morning.

De Soto was making its first appearance at the State tournament since 2007.
