MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Timberwolves president David Kahn says he will be very aggressive this summer through trades and free agency to supplement a promising young core.
The only two players who are considered untouchable right now are All-Star forward Kevin Love and point guard Ricky Rubio. Kahn says "no stone will be left unturned" to try to end a seven-year postseason absence.
The Timberwolves were 21-19 when Rubio was lost for the season with a left knee injury. Love, Nikola Pekovic and Luke Ridnour also missed significant time down the stretch, and the Wolves lost 21 of their final 26.
Kahn also says some of the team's young players need to prove to the Wolves that they are serious by working hard on their games this summer.
