Flyers demote suspended winger to minors

The Philadelphia Flyers sent winger Harry Zolnierczyk to its AHL affiliate in Adirondack on Friday.
Zolnierczyk, 25, is currently serving a suspension for his hit on Ottawa forward Mike Lundin during a March 2 game. He is ineligible for NHL games but is allowed to play in the AHL.
Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said Zolnierczyk's return this season to Philadelphia would be predicated on the team's roster needs.
