The Coulee Region Chill on Wednesday announce the promotion of A.J. Degenhardt to head coach and general manager, according to a team issued press release.
"A.J.'s vision for the team is very much in alignment with our vision for the Chill," says owner Michelle Bryant. "There is still rebuilding work to be done and A.J. is the right person to take this team to the next level."
Degenhardt was promoted from assistant to interim head coach this past January after John Hamre's departure. The team posted an 8-20 record after the Logan graduate took over.
"I am looking forward to the opportunity of taking over as head coach and general manager of the Coulee Region Chill and laying a foundation for a winning program for years to come," says Degenhardt.
Degenhardt will be joined on the bench for the 2013-2014 season by Erik Largen who is named the Chill's new assistant coach.
