The Milwaukee Brewers have released lefthanded starting pitcher Randy Wolf.
Wolf, who turns 36 years old Wednesday, struggled to a 3-10 record with a 5.69 ERA with just one win since April.
He was in the final year of a three-year contract signed before the 2010 season. That three-year deal was worth $29.75 million.
Wolf was 13-12 with a 4.17 ERA his first season with the Brewers and was 13-10 last season with a 3.69 ERA as he helped Milwaukee to the playoffs.
The Brewers also called up infielder Jeff Bianchi from Class AAA Nashville to replace Wolf on the major league roster.
