The Arcadia softball team enters the day a perfect
12-and-oh this season.
The Wisconsin softball coaches association has them
ranked 1-st in the state in division three.
They're coming off a wild win over West Salem .
in which pitcher Taylor Haines threw 28 strikeouts.
But a stat more important to her are the *two* sisters
she gets to play alongside her senior year.
News 8's Kyle Deckelbaum has the story.
When Taylor Haines is throwing in the circle .
and looks to her right .
Taylor 12/22 My sister
And when she looks to her left .
Taylor 12/36 My sister.
there are three Haines in the Raiders starting nine.
Taylor 12/40 It's a third of our lineup! It's kind
of weird that you go home and a majority of your team
Mariah is a sophomore .
she plays right field.
NAT 6639 Dana .
her identical twin .
Taylor's a senior .
so this is the only year all three will play together.

Dana 16/35 We can really push each other to reach
Taylor 14/17 I feel like I push them harder because
they know if they mess up, they're going to have the
wrath of me.
A kind of pressure only sisters can share .
especially when the older
sister was 1-st team all-conference.
Dana 19/06 She's a lot to look up to.
That's for sure.
Big shoes to fill.
Mariah 21/24 She pushes me.
That game versus Galesville, I got a popup and I thought
it was going to burn me.
It kind of rolled out of my glove and I still caught
She said if you would've dropped that, I would've
In the end, there's a connection...
Taylor 14/40 Knowing my sisters are always there to
help me along the way ...
....which they're reminded of any direction they look.
In Arcadia, KD, N8 Sports.
Dana and Mariah are three of five sisters.
The oldest two graduated in 2004 and 2007...those
two also having played on the Raiders softball team.
