They came one point .
*this* close .
to playing for a national championship tomorrow night.
But still .
a season to remember for Wisconsin.
News 8 Sports Director Gregg Wavrunek wraps our coverage
Well just like a handful of games over the past couple
of seasons, Traevon Jackson had the ball in his hands
withc a chance to give Wisconsin the win.
However his shot with time running out did not fall
in a 74-73 loss.
Bo He's the kind of guy that wants that shot.
He's the kind of guy having the ball in his hands
is something you want.
Jackson I thought it was going to be great as it was
going up in the air.
I had to adjust because I got hit on my arm but I
still thought it was good coming off of my hands.
It's tough, it's tough.
I was in that position, I was confident I'd make that
Koenig He's a great teammate, he's a great leader.
Personally I thought he got fouled on the way up and
I thought the ball had a really good chance of going
in but unfortunately it didn't.
Dukan You talk about Mr.
Clutch, he's had so many big plays throughout the
season and even last year.
That's a guy we trust going down the stretch no matter
Kentucky took a one-point lead with five-seconds to
go after Aaron Harrison made his first three-pointer
of the game.
Gasser I don't know if he made a shot all game, I
was covering him the entire game and he didn't really
look to pull so.
I could kind of see it in his eyes he wanted to make
a play and I tried to contest it best I can and he
made a tough shot.
With just one starter graduating, getting back to
the Final Four next year is definitely a possibility.
Koenig We're going to be really hungry in the offseason
and our goal is a National Championship.
Dekker It was a good run.
Makes me want to get back here even more, especially
with these guys with the bond we have.
Bo A lot of these guys are back.
They know they have to get better in areas.
I'm a coach, hey I'm already talking about next year.
So that's life.
Gasser You know they are brothers to me.
I love these guys so much.
We wanted to finish it off and it sucks that we didn't.
A lot of emotion in the postgame locker room.
Even with the bright future ahead, everybody had a
tough time dealing with the fact that this was the
end of the college careers of Ben Brust and the rest
of the senior class.
Reporting from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, Gregg
Wavrunek, News 8 Sports.
Well if you had these two teams playing for the national
I think Warren Buffett should just give you that billion
The game is tomorrow night.
Tip off just after 8 right here on W-K-B-T.
