5-for-25 from the field in the first half.
Thorp would lead by as many as 13 with under seven
minutes to play.
Garrett Marklowitz layup pulls the Pirates within
C-F-C keeps drawing nearer....Jordan Eikamp eye-camp
with the three.
And it's a 41-40 ballgame with four minutes to go.
But Thorp answers back.
Matt McCarter bucket puts them back up by five.
C-F-C only down two with six-seconds to go.
They get the ball in the hands of Cale Lisowski.
His shot just inside the halfcourt line hits the front
of the rim but does not fall in.
Thorp leads the entire game...and they hold on to
beat C-F-C 54-to-52.

Kyle Gregg, of C-FC's five playoff wins, one came
by four points, another by two, another on a last
second shot in overtime.
They very nearly had another one.
Lisowski Right when I put it up, I honestly thought
we were going to have another miracle ending to a
game to keep us going in the playoffs, I guess.
It was maybe this much, if it was a little bit to
the left, it would have went in.
Eikamp We just never quit, never say die.
It just, this one didn't fall, but the next one will.
It's not easy to look at it this way now, but what
a remarkable, historic run.
Marklowitz Heck of a season, I mean this team, these
fans, this community, we all came together.
I know looking back at this someday, maybe not now
but I'm going to look back and just smile sometime.
I know everybody in this locker room is going to smile.
Lisowski They'll remember us as a team that made it
to State basketball, and we can't hang our heads on
