LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is looking forward to a number of improvements on its campus over the next few years.

The Chancellor highlighted the several upcoming construction projects today at his annual fall All University Address Wednesday.

On the docket is a new student center, an expansion to the science building, rec center, and the parking ramp, a new residence hall, an additional chilled water plant, and a renovation to the historic Wittich Hall. In total it's about $400 million worth of work.

"Our goal is to make sure that when you're out there with your UW-L pin or cap or shirt and you know, 10-15 years after you've graduated, people say 'wow, that's a great school, keeps getting better.,” said UW-La Crosse Chancellor Joe Gow.

Students move in this weekend and start classes on Tuesday.
