The La Crosse School District is looking for potential buyers for one of its buildings.
The district is looking to sell Roosevelt Elementary and its property for re-development.
The building will be empty come next school year because of the new North Side Elementary.
Although there are a lot of ideas on the table for what to do with the building, district officials say they're only looking at proposals that will help strengthen the Roosevelt neighborhood.
Along with its efforts to revitalize the north side, the district is also taking input from residents in the neighborhood on potential options for the site.
"What we're trying to do in the first place is to do everything we can to be supportive of neighbors in the Roosevelt neighborhood who have been working with us for years on that particular school, been great neighbors to us, we want to be great neighbors for them and the disposal of that property," said Superintendent Randy Nelson.
There will be a tour of the Roosevelt property for interested parties on May 15th.
The deadline for submitting proposals is July 18th.
