SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) -

Schools across the nation are celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday by encouraging their kids to read.

In Sparta Friday, Governor Scott Walker joined in by reading "Oh The Places You'll Go."

After finishing the book, he talked to the kids about the importance of reading and let the students ask some questions.

Two students asked if he's running for president. The governor still hasn't given a definitive answer, but says the conversation is great for our state. "People are talking about it beyond just Wisconsin, so much the better, because that gets them talking about Wisconsin. I love being governor, I'm going to continue being governor, I'm going to stay focused on that," said Gov. Walker.
