West Salem student holding Pink Panther fundraiser
It will be a sea of pink when the Westby Girls Basketball team faces off against West Salem on February 14th, but it's not to celebrate Valentine's Day.
Pink Panther night is a fundraiser organized by West Salem Student Chloe Stauffer. She's selling t-shirts to support Gundersen Lutheran's Steppin' Out in Pink which helps breast cancer patients in our area.
Students at Westby have joined the cause too. And thanks to a donation from Festival Foods, the players will also be sporting pink.
The game is about a month away and she's already approaching her goal. "I've sold quite a few shirts, our goal was 500 and we're almost there, we're hoping to way overshoot that goal and have everyone wear those shirts that night so we're all one team in the fight against breast cancer," said Stauffer.
Shirts are $10 each. To put in an order, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
