UW-L students using mobile app to turn in work
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse students can use a smartphone app to turn in their homework online.
Right now, the app launched by the university is on its final leg of testing.
It allows students to access a virtual desktop from any Internet enabled device, like a laptop or tablet. Once connected, the device essentially becomes like any campus computer.
"Our mobile application currently allows students to do everything from admission to graduation," said UW-L CIO Mohamed Elhindi.
"We've got a storage space on network servers, all your files are there. It's almost like you're right on campus from any computer in the world basically," said UW-L sophomore and app tester Alex Reed.
The app is available through the web browser, to make it more accessible to everyone.
