News 8 WKBT and Merchants Bank are excited to be teaming up to recognize area students who are going above and beyond to give back in their communities by volunteering. Every month, one student will be selected for his or her dedication to helping others. Volunteer activities can include anything from assisting with children’s reading programs, helping at the food pantry, assisting with area fundraisers like the Relay for Life, or other acts of volunteerism within the community.

The student of the month will receive a $100 donation toward his or her volunteer activity or to a charity of his or her choice, a certificate of achievement and a Students Making a Difference sports bag.

If you know a student who is making a difference in the community, please nominate him or her below.
