WASHINGTON, D.C. -

Corina Strait, a senior at La Farge High School won first place at the 17th annual Third Congressional District Art Contest for her piece titled, 'Truck Yeah."

Her work will be on display for a year at the U.S. Capitol, along with student artists from across the country. Strait will also be invited to Washington, D.C. for a reception honoring the top award recipients.

La Crosse Logan High School student Devon Lee got second with her piece titled, "Sound." Her piece will be displaced in Representative Ron Kind's Washington, D.C.  office.

Ryan Herken of La Farge High School won third place with his piece called, "Gracie" and Claire Firary of La Crosse Logan High School won fourth place with her "Self-Portrait." Their work will be on display in Representative Kind's La Crosse and Eau Claire offices.

"This year's competition drew entries from across the Third Congressional District, showcasing just how talented and ambitious our young artists are here in western and central Wisconsin," Rep. Kind said in a statement. "It's a real pleasure to honor these outstanding artists and celebrate the great work they have done."
