GALESVILLE, Wis. -

A local high school is doing its part to make sure everyone in the world has a pair of shoes to wear.

For the second year, G-E-T's Family, Consumer, and Community Leaders of America is running a shoe drive. It's part of a statewide competition.

All of the shoes will be given to the organization "Soles for Souls" and then given to people in need across the globe.

Last year, the club collected 400 pairs of shoes, tied for the most in the state.

This year they already have 100, and are hoping to double last year's total. "Who doesn't need shoes? Everybody wears shoes and everybody needs them, whether you're in a place with warm weather or in Wisconsin where it's cold, everybody needs to cover their feet," said G-E-T's FCCLA's president Rebecca Teague.

If you have a pair of shoes you'd like to donate, you can drop them off at G-E-T high school. They'll be collecting them until mid-April.
