A 44-year-old Wisconsin woman has been convicted in the shooting death of her 46-year-old boyfriend last summer.
Prosecutors say Tricia Phillips, of Howard, shot David Rosenberg with a 9mm Glock pistol she kept by her bed.
Press-Gazette Media reports Phillips pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree reckless homicide and aggravated battery in a deal that calls for prosecutors to recommend no more than 20 years in prison at sentencing.
She had been scheduled for trial this week on a charge of first-degree intentional homicide.
Prosecutors say Phillips told a neighbor hours before the shooting that she was unhappy that Rosenberg might have been in contact with his ex-wife.
Rosenberg was a truck driver. His 24-year-old son, Kyle Rosenberg, says his father taught him the value of a strong work ethic
