WESTBY, Wis. (WKBT) -

An event seen at the Olympics can be seen on the slopes in our area before the games begin.

The Westby Snowflake Ski Club will host the annual ski jump tournament starting January 31st.

There may not be Olympic athletes, but some of the best ski jumpers in the world will test their skills.

Organizers say conditions are shaping up to be perfect for the event. "We're finalizing making snow on the hill, we're grooming it, so this good cold weather should make the snow set up good and make a good fast track," said Snowflake Ski Club's Public Relations Manager Scott Yttri.

Buttons are for sale at local businesses.

Veterans, their families, and kids under 12 can get in for free.
