MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (WKBT) -

Sports teams across Minnesota have helped remember Jacob Wetterling over the past couple weeks and now the Vikings are joining in.

The team announced Friday they're launching a campaign to raise money for the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center.

Jacob disappeared more than 27 years ago. His remains were found earlier this month after the man responsible for his abduction and murder led authorities to the site where they were buried.

In honor of the #11 jersey Jacob wore, the Vikings are getting the campaign started by donating $11,000.

The Wetterling family will be attending Sunday night's game against the Packers when the team will also make an on-field recognition of the campaign.
