WESTBY, WI -

Vernon County Crime Stoppers and the Westby Police Department are asking for the public's help finding who is responsible for a burglary at home on Highland Street in Westby.

Police say valuable coins and diamond rings worth more than $1,000 have been reported missing.

The burglary happened between 12 p.m. on August 1 and 9 a.m. on August 2. Police say there were no signs of forced entry.

These items were reported missing:

  • 1945 Liberty half-dollar coin
  • 1954, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1962, 1963 Franklin half-dollar silver coins
  • 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1976 Kennedy half-dollar silver coins
  • 1881 Wyatt Earp silver dollar
  • 1883 Geronimo silver dollar
  • 1884, 1886, 1889, 1900, 1921 Uncirculated Morgan silver dollars
  • 1885 Charles Goodnight silver dollar
  • 1888 Bill Pickett silver dollar
  • 1889 Bill Tilgham silver dollar
  • 1890 John Fremont silver dollar
  • 1922, 1923, 1924 Uncirculated Peace silver dollars
  • 1897 Jim Beckworth silver dollar
  • Gold coins
  • 1884 Kit Carson silver dollar
  • .5 ct diamond ring
  • 1.12 ct diamond ring
  • 1 ct diamond ring
