ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) -

The annual Great Rivers United Way Campaign is about $136,000 shy of its goal.

The "Give A Little Extra" Challenge will run until January 31, United Way officials announced Wednesday.

The annual United Way campaign, which funds more than 70 programs throughout 5 counties, hopes to raise $2,055,000.

Even though they haven't reached their goal yet, campaign officials believe the community will show its true generosity.

"We are very optimistic that we'll get there. The community has always rallied. We have the good fortune that we live in a very, very, generous community," said Campaign Co-Chairs John and Linda Lyche.

Because the campaign is short of its goal, a group of United Way supporters is matching up to $40,000 for any donations given.
