TOMAH, Wis. -

Tomah police have not been able to identify the body of a 21-year-old man found dead Sunday, June 16.

Tomah Police Lieutenant Mark Nicholson said when they found the man at a home on the 1400 block of Superior Avenue, he did not have a pulse. Investigators are working with the Wisconsin State Crime Lab to try to identify the man.

Lieutenant Nicholson said there were no obvious signs of trauma which may have caused his death.

"There was also nothing around him (no weapons, no drugs, no objects) which would lead us to believe that the death was attributed to something," Lt. Nicholson said. "The death is suspicious at this point only to the extent that we have a younger person who is deceased with an unknown cause of death."

The Tomah Police Department is waiting on toxicology results to come back from the State Crime Lab.
