LA CROSSE, Wis. -

Can our community come together to prevent bullying?  That's the goal of the La Crosse County Bullying Prevention Task Force, which held their second meeting Thursday.

The group is made up of members from local school districts, hospitals and other organizations.  News 8's own Jennifer Livingston is part of the task force.

The idea of the group is to come together to share ideas about preventing bullying and how to move forward.  "We're so aware of just great work that's being done in our community," says Kris Edwards from Gundersen Lutheran, "and it's just unfortunate because we don't really have a mechanism to share what's going on so this is very helpful in terms of sharing what's happening and moving forward with that work."

The task force is being supported by the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation Kohl's Cares Together Against Bullying campaign.  If you would like more information about the task force and ways to prevent bullying, you can go to a special website set up by Gundersen Lutheran.
