LA CROSSE, Wis. -

Every year, the La Crosse Skyrockers light up the sky with several fireworks shows and We was a sneak preview on how they do it.

The group held a demonstration at the Southside Libraryshowing off how they put on a crowd-pleasing display.

They also shared a lesson in safety, demonstrating how much damage something as small as a firecracker can do to a person's hand.

"It's part of the reason that our organization exists, we're here to help educate the community about fireworks and how to be safe around them and to have a good time," said Jonathan Vermes, Public Relations Director of the La Crosse Skyrockers.

The group's next show is the Salute to the Fourth in Onalaska on June 29. Then they're back at Riverfest again this year for the Fourth of July.
