People parking in downtown La Crosse ramps will notice almost daily changes.
The city is in the process of replacing hundreds of signs in the ramps. It's part of the transition to paid parking ramps which should be operational soon.
The old signs with time limits will be coming down and new signs with instructions about how to use the pay system will be going up.
With so many signs to change out, the process will take several weeks. "We're just asking for everyone's patience while we go through this transition period. It is going to be confusing and we apologize for that, but really there literally are hundreds of signs that are going to be changed," said Asst. Public Works Director Robert Haines.
To avoid any confusion, the city says drivers should follow the signs that are posted in your parking spot that day.
