LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -

School has been in session for about two weeks now, and the La Crosse School District's new bus company says everything is running smoothly.

GO Riteway says they processed more than 700 changes to students' bus routes over the first 10 days of the school year.

With more than 3,000 students taking buses to 35 different buildings in La Crosse, GO Riteway safety director David Butcher says they're still ironing out a few wrinkles, but everyone is still getting where they need to go.

"We have children that don't make the school bus on time and then the parents want us to go back and get the kids, so that tends to pose a bit of a problem as well sometimes," said Butcher. "But overall, after the first three or four days of school things really settled down nicely."

The company says they currently have enough drivers to cover all of the routes, but are always looking for subs. If you're interested in being a substitute bus driver, you can call GO Riteway at 608-881-6370.
