LA CROSSE, Wis. -

Motorcycle enthusiasts join in a celebration of a Wisconsin-based motorcycle engine company.

S & S Cycle celebrated it's 55-th anniversary at the South-side Oktoberfest grounds in La Crosse yesterday.

The company is considered one of the leaders in the industry for V-twin motorcycle engine parts.

At the celebration people could take an up-close look at some custom bikes made with S & S parts, including five made by high school students.

"They all feature our Xwedge engine and the frame that we donated and the rest is like go do your things guys and what we came back with was just some fantastic motorcycles you would not believe that these were built by high school students it compares with any of the celebrtiy builders that you've heard about these things are amazing," said Bruce Tessmer, S & S Cycle marketing coordinator.

Five custom bikes - one for each branch of the military were also on display.
