State Sen. Jennifer Shilling hopes for budget vetoes

LA CROSSE, Wis. - State Senator Jennifer Shilling talked about her hopes for the budget during a stop in La Crosse Thursday.

She hopes the governor uses the veto to make changes to the school voucher program.

Also, she's hoping the governor changes his mind and decides to accept federal funding to strengthen medicaid.

"There were some areas that we saw some small successes but I think the bigger picture is that this is not a budget that really reflects the values of middle class families here in wisconsin and it is one where I think we could have done better for the taxpayers," said Shilling.

Those are only three of about 200 requests the Governor has recieved to either veto or save portions of the budget.

Governor Walker says he will announce his vetoes on Sunday, the same day he signs the budget.
