Onalaska Parks & Rec to offer Spanish classes dropped by Western

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) - Opportunities to continue your education in our community are not all going away.

Earlier this year, Western Technical College stopped offering non-credit classes like photography and foreign languages. A declining attendance and financial reasons are to blame.

The Onalaska Parks and Recreation Department has stepped up to continue the Spanish classes. "There's just a strong need in the community. Spanish is something that's very common in the United States, and especially in our area, there are a lot of needs for it," said Marcus Aumann from Onalaska Parks and Rec.

The first session starts next month and costs $72.
