LA CROSSE, Wis. -

Anticipation is building for local fishing fans as the Bassmaster Elite Series hits the Mississippi this weekend.

For the second year in a row, the Mississippi River Rumble brings the nation's best anglers to La Crosse for the four-day fishing tournament.

Many of the fishermen that will compete were out on the water Tuesday.

The tournament is one of La Crosse's biggest events, bringing in thousands of fans and nearly one-hundred professional anglers. "These are the best guys in the world, that's what these guys do, it's a full-time job for them, they all have sponsors, they all have boats and trucks that people will be able to see in the parking lot right here, get a lot of photos with them of the boats, just like NASCAR, it's NASCAR on water," said Bassmaster Director of Operations Eric Lopez.

The tournament officially kicks off on Thursday and runs through the weekend.
