Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is ruling out any run for U.S. Senate or governor in 2014.
Advisor Brian McClung says Pawlenty is taking those options off the table as he takes a new job as chief executive of The Financial Services Roundtable, a Wall Street lobbying group.
Pawlenty's new post was announced Thursday morning. He's leaving his job as national co-chairman of Mitt Romney's presidential campaign.
Pawlenty had been mentioned as a possible candidate to take on Democratic Sen. Al Franken. Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton is also up for re-election in two years.
