LA CROSSE, Wis. -

While one election just ended, another campaign is just about to get started in La Crosse.

The city clerk says candidates interested in running for mayor can start collecting nomination signatures December 1st. After that they have 30 days to file.

So far, only one candidate has declared their intention to run. Randy Magno declared in June.

News 8 contacted Mayor Matt Harter Tuesday to see if he plans to run for re-election. He said he would make his decision public later this week or next week.

The mayoral election is next April.
