Voters in Bangor have decided once again to allow the school district to go over the state imposed revenue cap.
For the third time in the last six years, voters approved a referendum.
The question on the ballot asked, "should the district be able to exceed its revenue limit by $600,000 per year for three years beginning 2013-2014?"
The final vote tally was 320 yes to 212 no. That means the school will have an additional $600,000 over the next three years.
School officials say this will help maintain current programs and avoid cuts. They also say taxpayers shouldn't see any changes to their tax bill.
