A paralyzed bride in Ohio keeps her vow to walk down the aisle on her wedding day.

Stevie Beale was paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident seven years ago, but during her recovery, she vowed to walk down the aisle when she became Mrs. Jared Vanausdale.

It took months and months of work, but she did it.

Curtains pulled back revealed a beaming Beale standing in her wedding gown with the aid of a walker, her bouquet clipped to the front of it.

After the ceremony, Vanausdale carried his bride out of the church.

"Seeing everything come together at that moment and seeing all the hard work pay off and her in the dress and how beautiful she was, it was just kind of overwhelming and I tried to keep it together as much as possible," he told Toledo TV station WTVG.

Their friendship began three years ago, when Beale was visiting her best friend at a local hospital following an accident.

"It's amazing," Brianna Mullinger said. "It's amazing to know that I introduced them. ... At the beginning, they were just friends and they fell so madly in love. I've never seen it like that before."
