It's a week into this year's Rotary Lights display in Riverside Park and donations are off to a good start.

Organizers say even with the rain this week they've had a lot of visitors. Donations have been good both in and out of the park.

Several groups, clubs, and organizations have held food drives which is helping with the donation numbers.

Organizers say every donation is important, especially with such a short season. "Only 33 nights that we have and six of them are already gone so, last year we had 39 and that makes a big difference in both cash collections as well as the food collections," said Rotary Lights President Pat Stephens.

Rotary lights will have its official donation totals up until this point available on Friday.
