The 32-year-old disabled man who walked away from an area group home has been found safe and appears to be in good medical condition, according to Onalaska Police Chief Jeff Trotnic.
Onalaska police had asked for the public's help finding Kevin on Wednesday night and again on Thursday morning after he walked away from an area group home.
Kevin was found by a La Crosse County Sheriff's deputy Thursday along Highway 16 between Onalaska and West Salem, about three miles north of Onalaska. Kevin was walking in the area of the Innsbruck Addition. That's the same area he was spotted Wednesday night.
Chief Trotnic said Kevin left the group home due to a rule they enforced.
"The Onalaska Police Department appreciates everything that was done by the media and citizens that played a huge role in a successful conclusion to this event," Chief Trotnic said.
