2009: Singer-songwriter Mary Travers (right), a member of the folk music group Peter, Paul and Mary, dies at age 72 in Danbury, Conn., from complications arising from chemotherapy for leukemia. Peter, Paul and Mary were one of the most successful folk-singing groups of the 1960s, with hit songs like "If I Had a Hammer (The Hammer Song)," "Puff (The Magic Dragon)" and "Blowin' in the Wind."
