1915: Bob Kane, the comic book artist and writer best known for creating "Batman" along with fellow comic book writer Bill Finger, is born in New York City. Kane is seen here with Michael Keaton during filming of the 1989 "Batman" movie. He died at age 83 on Nov. 3, 1998.
