2004: The NBA suspends Ron Artest of the Indiana Pacers for the rest of the season following a Nov. 19 brawl among players and fans during a game in Auburn Hills, Michigan, between the Pacers and the home team Detroit Pistons. The suspension for Artest, who went into the stands after a fan during the incident, would end up lasting 86 games, the longest suspension for an on-court incident in NBA history.
